Golden Gator was from a photograph I had taken while traveling the Loop Road in the Big Cypress National Preserve that I translated into a batik painting on silk. This big bull alligator was resting on limestone rocks and the tanic acid produced from the nearby swamp had turned the water to a golden color. I loved the way it set off the gator!
